Bethany’s Student Ministries seek to:
Reach out to all youth, teaching them about God and preparing them to share God’s love with others.
Our focus for the school year is TREES:
Teaching the word of God (Sunday mornings, small groups)
Relating to one another (Friday night events)
Exalting God through worship and praise (Sunday mornings, Alive! nights)
Evangelizing by sharing the Good News of Christ (in everything we do!)
Serving our church body, Hamilton/Queensborough community, and world (service projects and leadership training)
Important Dates:
Sunday, September 11th - Kick Off Sunday - we’re back to our normal schedule and will be kicking off all Sunday programs with some get-to-know-you games and snacks in our respective meeting spaces before heading into the service. 9:45-11am.
Friday, September 16th - Kick-Off Fridays - we’re kicking off the new school year with our first night of regular Friday night programs. While the details of both Youth and Preteen events are a surprise, come ready to have tons of fun, meet new people, and possibly leave with a sweet prize! Both groups meet in their respective spaces. 7-9pm.
Monday, September 19th - Bible Study Kick-Off - all three groups will be meeting in the Attic to talk about what we want to learn and discuss this school year before breaking into our groups to get to know each other as well as the small group leaders. 7-9pm.
Student Ministries: BBC Youth (Grades 8-12)
BBC Youth meets three times a week: for Friday night events, Sunday morning classes, and Monday night small groups. We meet in The Attic (youth room) which is above the gym and can be accessed by going up the stairs at the gym or Lounge entrances.
Friday Nights:
Fridays are a time for our students in Grades 8-12 to build relationships, meet new people, and get to know the adult leaders. Students meet from 7-9pm. We host a variety of events, from bowling to the Corn Maze, Gross Night to the Car Rally! We alternate these events with our Alive! Nights, which include games, snacks, prizes, worship, a message, and some small group discussion. Newcomers are always welcome!
Monday Night Small Groups:
This year, our small groups will all be meeting on Monday nights from 7-9pm at the church (meet in the Attic before we split into our groups). We have three groups: Junior High (8-10), Senior High Girls (11-12) and Senior High Guys (11-12). We discuss a variety of topics based on age and gender and chosen by students.
Sunday Morning Classes:
We meet on Sundays before the service from 9:45-11am. Generally, we offer 2-3 different class options based on interest and maturity. Some options include Biblical history, studying our Bibles, World Religions, Jesus’ parables, etc. Have trouble waking up? We have a soft start to the morning, complete with coffee, snacks, and couches in The Attic.

Student Ministries: iConnect Preteen Ministry
iConnect is our brand new ministry for students in Grades 5-7! This group meets twice a week – on Friday nights for events, and on Sunday mornings for classes. We meet in the Upper Room, which is above the gym entrance and next to The Attic. It can be accessed by going up the stairs at the gym or Lounge entrances.
Friday Nights:
Fridays are a time for students to get to know one another, meet new people, build relationships with peers and adult leaders, and have fun! Students meet from 7-9pm every Friday in the Upper Room. Most weeks, these evenings include some gym time, a devotional and discussion, snacks, and lots of games. Other events will include bowling, scavenger hunts, swimming, Battle of the Sexes, and many more! Newcomers are always welcome!
Sunday Mornings:
We meet on Sundays from 9:45-11am in the Upper Room. Topics for discussion will be chosen together by the leaders and students and are relevant to the preteen age group, both in topic and in teaching style.
