PASTORAL CARE

At Bethany, the primary context for pastoral care is within the weekly Small Groups. Care occurs naturally as members build supportive friendships while sharing life and studying the scriptures. If you want to enter into the caring community at Bethany, this is the place to do it. Contact smallgroups@bethanybaptist.bc.ca to find a group.

The Pastoral Staff are also available for counsel along the way, and for support in the midst of the milestone moments of life – birth, marriage, new faith, sickness, relational upheaval, bereavement. During this time of transition please contact the office with any needs so that we can direct you to the appropriate ministry person to deal with the situation. Our elders Dieter Gotthardt & Keith Tinck are responsible for this ministry. They will be assisted by Dr. Curtis Congo (Interim Transitional Pastor) when he begins in the fall of 2009.

The Deacons group is made up of committed men and women who provide additional care for the elderly, shut-ins, bereaved, and others who have special needs. Contact deacons@bethanybaptist.bc.ca.

Weddings are among the great moments of celebration in life. Bethany is committed to preparing couples well as they enter into the marriage covenant, through a program of Pre-Marriage Mentoring. Contact the church office (office@bethanybaptist.bc.ca) for more info.

DivorceCare is a ministry of support and healing for those who have undergone separation or divorce.

The Prayer Chain is a ministry of support through prayer – a team of people who are ready to put prayer into action on your behalf.
