August Events

TODAY: Bible Study + Bubble Tea

August 4 / 5-7 PM / Youth Room

Cold drinks, good conversation, and time in God’s Word! Come enjoy bubble tea, hang out with friends, and join us for a relaxed Bible study and discussion about God, faith, and everyday life. Bubble tea is provided, but dinner is not included.

Hike to Jug Island

August 7 / 10 AM / Belcarra Park Picnic Area

We are finally making up our Jug Island hike! Join us for a morning outdoors, a beautiful trail, and time to explore and connect together. Bring lunch, water, comfortable walking shoes, and a swimsuit if you would like to swim. Please RSVP so we can plan numbers and any needed rides. Weather permitting.

Clue Crafting

August 12 & 26 / 6-8 PM / Youth Room

Bethany’s big Clue game is coming, and we need your creativity! Help us transform the church by making fantasy-themed props, decorations, costumes, clues, and other pieces for the event. No crafting experience is needed. Wear clothes that can handle a little paint or glue.

Coquitlam River Float

August 15 / 2-4 PM / Ginger Beach to Gates Park

Get ready for a fun afternoon floating down the Coquitlam River, cooling off, and enjoying the sun with friends! Meet us at Ginger Beach at 2 PM, and parents can pick up at Gates Park at 4 PM. Life jackets and group floaties will be provided. Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water, and a change of clothes. Please reply to RSVP so we can prepare for everyone.

Tues-Torial: Apologetics

August 18 / 5-7 PM / Youth Room

Why should we believe in God, Christianity, or the Bible? Bring your questions as we explore reasons for Christian faith and talk honestly about difficult questions and objections. Bring a Bible and come ready to join the discussion. Snacks are provided, but dinner is not included.

Tues-Torial: Practicals

August 25 / 5-7 PM / Youth Room

Faith is not just something we talk about. It shapes how we live! Join us for practical Bible teaching and conversation about following Jesus at home, at school, with friends, and in everyday decisions. Bring a Bible and your questions. Snacks are provided, but dinner is not included.

BBQ + Sports

August 28 / 7-9 PM / Deas Island Regional Park

Finish the summer with a full BBQ dinner, outdoor sports, and a fun evening together at the park! We will play volleyball, soccer, frisbee, football, and other casual games. Bring water, athletic clothes, outdoor shoes, and a friend. The exact meeting spot will be shared before the event.

"Hi everyone, My name is Kaden Nelson and I am the intern for the summer. I am currently attending Columbia Bible college and aiming to be a pastor in the future. I am looking forward to connecting and helping to serve the youth this summer. "

About Us

Who are we?

Two groups: iConnect (Grades 6-7) and Sola (Grades 8-12)

When do we meet?

Friday Nights, 7-9PM at the Bethany Building unless mentioned otherwise

What Happens on Fridays:

Games, worship, socializing, and small group time. Usually, all grades meet together in the Youth Room (enter through Lounge doors). We play games for the first hour, and have worship time, teaching and small groups for the second hour. Small groups are divided based on grade and gender (e.g. iConnect boys, Grades 8-10 girls, etc.).  

 

 

Sunday Mornings - 10am (on pause for summer)

Grades 6+7 meet in the hub during the service, wait for the dismissal slide. 

Register With Us!

All students must register online before attending their first event of the year. This waiver is valid until August 2025 and covers all events, activities and outings.
