June Calendar

Our events in June are based around giving youth a third space to study or just hang out, with some study-break events to get them moving!

Enter through the gym entrance for all summer events. All events other than Grad are open to Grades 6-12.

Grad - June 7 / 6pm / Lounge

If you're graduating, you've already been approached about this. Remember to let Heather know how many you plan to bring so she can plan accordingly, tickets are free but it's a ticketed event!

Drop-in Study + Games / June 9,16,23 / 5-7pm / Youth Room

We'll have chill spaces to study and get homework sorted, tables set up for games, and people on-hand for study help. We'll have light snacks available but feel free to bring dinner! Pop in for part of the event or the whole thing, it's chill.

Gym Drop-in / June 12 / 7-9pm / Gym

Wanna play dodge ball? Or basketball? Come on in, we have lots of equipment and a huge gym.

Bring:

  • Water Bottle
  • Shoes you can run in

Hike to Jug Island / June 26 / 10am / Meet @ Belcarra picnic area

Difficulty: Moderate / 5.5km round trip

This one's one of my favourites. We'll be heading down a beautiful trail through the forest to a secluded cove where we'll eat lunch with the option of a 50m swim to Jug Island and explore it. Youth swimming to the island must be comfortable swimming 50m.

We will try to arrange rides for as many youth as possible, departing Bethany between 8:30-9am and returning between 3-3:30 if we don't stop for ice cream. If you are a parent who is free during the day and able to drive youth, your assistance would be deeply appreciated!

We will finish the hike between 2-2:30pm, with the potential to get ice cream at Rocky Point if everyone wants to.

RSVP Deadline June 23. Must have a completed waiver to participate.

Dry Roof Cafe / June 28 / 9:45am / Church Lobby

Wanna be part of something fun? We take over the lobby and turn it into a high-end coffee shop together with the young adults. We need help with running supplies (we have no plumbing in the lobby) greeting and taking orders, and prepping drinks.

Come even earlier if you'd like to help set up!

About Us


Who are we?

Two groups: iConnect (Grades 6-7) and Sola (Grades 8-12)


When do we meet?

Friday Nights, 7-9PM at the Bethany Building unless mentioned otherwise

What Happens on Fridays:

Games, worship, socializing, and small group time. Usually, all grades meet together in the Youth Room (enter through Lounge doors). We play games for the first hour, and have worship time, teaching and small groups for the second hour. Small groups are divided based on grade and gender (e.g. iConnect boys, Grades 8-10 girls, etc.).  

 

 

Sunday Mornings - 10am 

Grades 6+7 meet in the hub during the service, wait for the dismissal slide. 

Register With Us!

All students must register online before attending their first event of the year. This waiver is valid until August 2025 and covers all events, activities and outings.
